RULES FOR THE CLASSROOM- 1. Raise your hand before you speak or stand 2. When we are standing we are silent 3. We walk on the right side of the hall 4. We pay attention when others are speaking 5. We do and turn in our own work
HOMEWORK POLICY- It is important that your child do homework. It helps reinforce the day's lesson, and allows the student to see if they really understand the material without the teacher's help. Homework is assigned everyday, Monday-Thursday. The assignments stay on the board for the entire week. Homework is important, as I use it in class to teach and review the contents of previous day's lesson. It allows your child and I to see where they are having trouble, so that I can teach to that part, and review what your child already understands. Please help your child by checking their planner and homework daily to see if they have done it. Also, please make sure that your child places this homework back into their backpack.
TESTS AND QUIZZES- Your child will have a test or quiz weekly. The grading scale is as follows: 10%- classroom participation, this includes writing any problems I work on the board in their notebook, so they have an example of how the teacher works the problem. 20%- Homework, your child should be keeping all homework in a notebook to review for any test. 30%- Quizzes 40% Tests If you have any questions, or I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to e-mail me, call me at the school, or write me a note. I will return your message as soon as possible. Thank you
