Central Middle School has installed a Synergistic's Technology Lab for your child to use and discover.

 

This Technology Class consists of 13 Laboratory Modules where students will be learning basic concepts from the following components:

• Engineering Towers
• Flight Technology
• Creative Solutions
• Robots
• Computer Graphics and Animation
• Lights and Lasers
• Electricity
• Digital Manufacturing
• Music and Sound
• Bioengineering
• Digital Video
• Energy, Power and Mechanics

 

This is a computer facilitated class. All work is completed at the module stations in the lab. After completing seven sessions at one module, students move to a new module and start again.

Applied Technology is a one semester (18 week) course.

Students usually work with a partner and also learn the following additional skills:

        RECORD KEEPING, TEAMWORK, USE OF EQUIPMENT, ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS,

        TIME MANAGEMENT, WORK ETHIC, SELF DIRECTION AND RESPONSIBILITY.

 

HOMEWORK:  Very seldom do I give homework assignments. Since there are no textbooks given and work is done at modules, students are expected to work professionally while in class similar to being employed and working on a jobsite.
