5 Areas of Interaction

Q.  How do students develop intercultural awareness, travel paths among school subjects, and build bridges between school and neighborhood?

A.  They look at life’s issues through 5 sets of “lenses.”

Through the lens of “Approaches to Learning,”  students learn “how to learn” about a subject;  they also discover their particular learning style.

Through the lens of “Community and Service,” students look at their world, examine its problems, and build plans for making it a better place.

Through the lens of “Homo Faber,  students discover how constructive thought and action produces ideas and products to improve the quality of life for all.

Through the lens of “Environment,” students analyze how the creations of human beings impact their world locally and globally.

Through the lens of “Health and Social Education,”  students consider how thoughts and actions impact the well-being of the person.
