Q.  What does the Middle Years Programme (MYP) arrival mean to CMS students?

 A.  Student learning in the MYP is built on a solid foundation formed by 3 Fundamental  Concepts.  

The concept of “intercultural awareness”  ensures that students learn how to make connections among cultures around the globe.  Through this development of an intercultural perspective, students develop the skills and attitudes to begin to think about and envision solutions to cultural problems and issues on a local and global basis. 

The concept of “holistic learning” ensures that students learn how to make connections among the variety of school subjects they study and, equally important, make connections between their world in school and their world beyond the schoolroom walls.

The concept of “communication” ensures that students share their ideas about how they can help build a better world locally and globally using the knowledge, skills, concepts, and attitudes they learn each day in school.
