Letter From our Principal 

Dear Parents/Guardians:

I am writing this letter to personally address rumors you may have heard that caused you concern.  As the result of social networking, the rumors spread and escalated very quickly.  At the end of the school day on Thursday, January 26^th the administration was made aware of a student’s off-handed comment that could be considered threatening.  As a precautionary measure, the West Melbourne Police Department and Brevard Public School’s Office of District Security was notified.  A thorough inquiry was conducted and it was determined that there was no threat.  However, the WMPD provided additional officers on campus today, strictly as a show of support to the school.   

 I can assure you that at no time was there any threat to Central Middle School.  As always, I am very proud the way our students conducted themselves as we worked through this situation.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.
